The make it on the streetcar with all their gear, but unfortunately the streetcar has broken down and the band has missed soundcheck. The booker is annoyed, and has kicked The off the bill.
The have decided to borrow Greg's car, but Greg is broke and wants payment in exchange for his transportation services. Alternatively, they can use the car for free if they go pick it up themselves.

SuperAwesomeBand has asked The to join them on their world tour if the show goes well! But uh oh, they return to find that the SuperAwesomeBand roadie has destroyed their gear! SuperAwesomeBand is apologetic, but they do not lend you their gear. The are replaced on the bill, and they are not asked to join SuperAwesomeBand's tour.
